Negotiations for our 2013 - 2015 Contract have begun!  We negotiate at two "tables."  At Local Table our Bargaining Team negotiates changes to our contract that just apply to DEQ workers.  Examples of topics discussed at Local Table are health and safety, layoff, education and training, Union rights, work out of class, lead work, and work schedules, among many other topics.  Our Local Table team members are:  Karen Williams (President, NWR), Dana Huddleston (1st Vice President, Eugene), Angela Delfin (Board member, Lab), Chris VanDyke (VIP Sherwood), Bruce Scherzinger (Board member), and Issa Simpson (Staff Representative).  At Central Table, we work with representatives from all other State AFSCME Locals and our Executive Director, Ken Allen, to negotiate compensation (wages and benefits) and issues that will apply to all state workers.  Our Central Table representative is Dana Huddleston.  Check the "Bargaining Information" page frequently (you'll need to register with an ID and password on this site to see bargaining information) and attend membership meetings to stay informed about bargaining progress.
